SLAZENGER AND WIMBLEDON CELEBRATE LONGEST PARTNERSHIP IN SPORTING HISTORY

Slazenger celebrates 122 years as Official Ball of The Championships by partnering with the Wimbledon Foundation and WaterAid on a creative mosaic revealed on the eve of Wimbledon.

The longest partnership in sporting history has entered its 122nd year, with Slazenger providing the official ball to The Championships, Wimbledon, as it has done since 1902. More than 55,000 balls have been delivered ahead of event, with the Qualifying Competition commencing this week and main draw running from 1-14 July. The longstanding partnership is a true embodiment of British heritage and legacy, underlining Slazenger’s dedication to cutting-edge product design and accessibility.

Used balls at The Championships are sold with proceeds going to the Wimbledon Foundation, the official charity of The Championships and the All England Club, or donated to local charities and organisations. In a further show of support, Slazenger has partnered with the Wimbledon Foundation and WaterAid, donating more than 5,000 tennis balls to create an impactful mosaic, released on the eve of The Championships. The installation – made entirely from tennis nets, balls and rackets – highlights the

Wimbledon Foundation and WaterAid’s efforts to provide access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene to communities in need internationally. This July, Slazenger will be bringing this to life across London with window takeovers at Sports Direct Oxford Street and Lillywhites Piccadilly. The Slazenger team will also be popping up near Wimbledon with its custom ice cream van handing out complimentary soft serve across the local area both weekends of The Championships.
